The historical presentation on the previous page described the main elements of the visit. However, we would like to point out that the museum is particularly adapted to visits by children and school groups. Thus, specific visits have been developed for this public. Visit : "Let's discover the music of the time of the Troubadours”. Fun activities based on the eight medieval instruments, copied from the sculptures at the Puivert castle keep, are offered. An introduction to ancient music is presented through participative workshops. * Half-day programme : Sound-recognition games, an approach to ancient writing, listening, and analysis of musical extracts, medieval recorder, tambourine or lute playing, depending on the children's level. * Day programme : Completes the half-day programme with the interpretation of a musical piece recorded on CD. * Introduction to Music : A selection of several instrument families are presented, where each is to be recognized thanks to its sound. Children are initiated to music and also to the utilisation of instruments such as the recorder, the tambourine or the lute. * Non-accompanied visits with documentation : For children's groups from 7 to 10 years old: Tales with technical document and visitor's booklet which can be sent beforehand to the teacher, upon request. For all publics, you will find all around the village, thanks to illustrated sign posts, a track which will take you from the castle to the museum, on the trail of the troubadours and jugglers. If you follow the lake to the museum, you will meet local people of the Quercorb and the crafts which made their livelihood but which no longer exist today. |
